"Forms of Address in Contemporary Ukrainian Newspapers" gives a detailed linguistic analysis of the nominal forms of address focusing primarily on the Ukrainian address forms Pan and Pani and their collocations, which include names and professional titles. Ukrainian uses the vocative form of the nouns in address clauses, therefore morphology of the vocative is discussed drawing parallels to vocative endings in other Slavic languages. Additionally morphological agreement in address collocations is analyzed. Finally the difference in use of nominal address forms depending on the genders of an addresser and addressee is discussed. The goal of this book is to give a precise description on how, where and why the nominal forms of address are used in contemporary Ukrainian newspapers.
This book examines forms of address in Romanian and their hierarchical structure that comprises four levels of social formality (neutral, informal, formal and very formal) and three social semantics (neutrality, solidarity and power). Spoken and written language use indicates that Romanian forms of address help to establish individual identities in the Romanian social context, create relationship levels within Romanian social groups, promote social interaction, and impact language communication events. The Romanian forms of address for the research have been collected through the examination of relevant Romanian literature that includes rural and urban forms of address in the spoken and written Moldavian dialect of the Romanian language. The forms of address compiled were tabulated into six classes (names, titles, kinship terms, pronouns, terms of affection and insults), and their occurrence and incidence rate were afterwards examined and discussed in their literary and social contexts, a process that allowed the socio-linguistic evaluation of their functions and communicative significance.
Address forms can be very problematic in intercultural communication because different languages have different forms available at their disposal. This book provides a comparison of how Turkish and American people address each other in the family, since literature on this topic is scarce. The definitions of key address forms, theories of politeness and address, and a description of the address systems in Turkish and English (with a particular focus on contemporary American English) are included. Turkish and American address forms used in the family have been compared in this book, using original data collected for this purpose by the author. This book also presents possible explanations as to why the differences between the address forms in the two languages were found. This study should help English as a second/ foreign language teachers enable their students whose native language is Turkish to become competent communicators in the target culture. It also gives insights to Turkish-language instructors teaching Turkish to Americans, and generally, to anybody who is striving to become a competent communicator in either of these cultures.

The atypical forms of employment in South Africa emerged mainly due to globalisation and trade liberalisation, which encouraged international competition. This type of employment raised new forms of employment relationships. Because of the ambiguities in the legal definition of their employment, people operating within atypical employment are constantly faced with challenges as they are not well protected by labour legislation compared to "typical" employees. The desire to understand and address issues and challenges posed by atypical forms of employment in the current South African industrial relations system inspired this book, which analyse and contextualise the emergence of atypical forms of employment. This review allows employers, investors, human resource practitioners and postgraduate students to gain a better understanding of the key elements in the employment relationship in South Africa. It is aimed at enabling greater responsiveness, flexibility and cost-effectiveness in the light of intensified competitive pressures, greater market uncertainty and availability of new technologies in these times of a more deregulated labour market.
This book will be the first covering the subject of IP address management (IPAM). The practice of IPAM includes the application of network management disciplines to IP address space and associated network services, namely DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) and DNS (Domain Name System). The consequence of inaccurately configuring DHCP is that end users may not be able to obtain IP addresses to access the network. Without proper DNS configuration, usability of the network will greatly suffer as the name-to-address lookup process may fail. Imagine having to navigate to a website or send an email or an instant message by IP address instead of by name! It's equally important that these DHCP and DNS configurations be based on a common IP address plan, which maps out the IP address hierarchy, subnets, address pools, and domains. IPAM applies management disciplines to these core services, including configuration, change control, auditing, reporting and so on, and they are necessary given the absolute requirement for properly managing IP space and DHCP and DNS servers. The linkages among an IP address plan, DHCP server configuration and DNS server configuration are inseparable; a change of an IP address will affect DNS information and perhaps DHCP as well. These functions provide the foundation for today's converged services IP networks, so they need to be managed using a rigorous approach. Today, there is no single book that covers the management of these linkages and services they provide; IP Address Management Principles and Practice will fill that gap. While several books are available for leading vendors' DHCP and DNS services implementations, few exist for IP address planning, and none exist that unifies these three topics. Long term fertilizer experiment studies has revealed that due to continuous use of nitrogenous fertilizers, the pH of soil and available P status decreased significantly from the initial status. The transformation of added phosphorus greatly depends on the physical and chemical environment of the soil and pH is one of the factors which affect its transformation as the ionic forms of inorganic P are pH dependent. As P is second most important nutrient after N for plant growth, hence, understanding the transformation and distribution of various forms of P in soil receiving continuous fertilizer and manure application is essential in developing appropriate P management strategies for sustainable agricultural production. To fulfill this purpose, present study was designed to study the effect of long-term application of chemical fertilizers and organics on changes in forms of phosphorus in rainfed maize-wheat system.
